BB Seniors visit European Parliament at Brussels
On 29th & 30th June, Russell Croal, Grant Profit, Fraser Wilkinson and David Young, members of 1st Falkirk Company of the Boys' Brigade (Grahamston United Church), joined a group of 28 seniors and young officers from across Scotland on a trip to Brussels.
The trip provided an opportunity to do a bit of sightseeing in the historic Euoropean city, enjoy some traditional Flemish food and vist the European Parliament, as guests of Struan Stevenson, one of the members of parliament elected from Scotland. Mr Stevenson provided some background on his role in the parliament and the visitors had the opportunity to sit in the public gallery of the debating chamber.
There they learned some history as to how the parliament came into being. The whole trip was a great success, mainly due to the enthusiasm of the lads attending along with the excellent weather.
